A trip to Europe’s highest train station is a highlight of any visit to the Holiday Region Interlaken. Delve into a high alpine world of snow and glaciers on the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. The train journey from Interlaken Ost takes just under two hours and promises a bewitching panorama and a jaw-dropping stop at Eismeer station. During the winter months, the trip is even more spectacular. The line runs past the foot of Switzerland’s famous triumvirate and through the snow-covered winter paradise of the Jungfrau region. Pay a visit to the ice palace and then make your way to the Sphinx Observation Deck to take in the imposing, timeless ice of the mighty Aletsch glacier, part of the UNESCO Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch World Heritage Site.
The ascent from Stechelberg is made by cable car. On the Schilthorn – Piz Gloria you will be greeted by an impressive 360° panorama over the Swiss Alps.
