Join a history-steeped tour on the banks of deep blue Lake Thun

The publicly accessible Bonstettenpark not only promises stunning views of sparkling Lake Thun and the surrounding mountains – it also offers a chance to travel back in time to the 1930s. Inspired by the biographical novel "Die Baronin im Tresor" by Franziska Streun, you can join a private "Tour with a Baroness" year-round. You can also book a public tour on three dates.

In Gwatt, there stands a fairytale castle in a dreamy park of lush meadows and bright flowers – and on the opposite side of park glitters deep blue Lake Thun. You and your loved ones can travel back in time to the first half of the 20th century in the renowned gardens of Campagne Bellerive and in Bonstettenpark. Inspired by the biographical novel "Die Baronin im Tresor", which recounts the story of Baroness Betty Lambert, author Franziska Streun invites you to join a public or private "Tour with a Baroness". Alongside the guided tours, you can choose from three specific themes. The three set themes cover "famous guests from around the world", "the escape agent and the silent hub of resistance to Hitler before and during the Second World War" and "the Rothschild dynasty – from the fifth generation back to the beginnings in the Frankfurt ghetto".
