On the town tour «Jewish life of yesteryear in Thun», author Franziska Streun takes her audience on a trip back to former times as she describes Jewish businesses, the prayer hall, the Torah school and the kosher diet of soldiers in the Second World War. She also shares her research findings on the Frontist Party in Thun, the pogrom of Basel, the Jewish ghetto in Bern and the towns of Endingen and Lengnau, until 1866 the only places in Switzerland where Jews were permitted to settle.
