Stunningly scenic Saxeten

From Interlaken Ost, this racing bicycle route leads via side roads and green fields to Wilderswil. From here, the asphalted road climbs steeply uphill to the idyllic and sleepy village of Saxeten. The ascent alongside the rushing Saxetbach stream is a tempting adversary – the route is steep, challenging and breathtakingly beautiful at once. If you dare accept the challenge, you'll feel like a king once you reach the top and are rewarded with unrivalled scenic splendour. And your tour doesn't have to end in Saxeten – if you've still got juice in your legs, why not extend it as far as Alp Nesslern? A 20 percent climb awaits you on the last kilometre. The rapid but technically challenging descent is exhilarating and will help you forget the physical effort in no time.
