Magnificent views over the lake and Bernese Alps accompany the entire walk. The official start is the town of Thun.

The walk begins at the train station and runs along the Nidau-Büren Canal up towards the 1,000-year-old Scherzlingen Church, then on to the picturesque Schaudau Park. On Lake Thun you can also pay a visit to the shipyard and Thun lido. The lakeside path runs via Schadau Park and Schadau Castle to the Thun-Panorama and along the beach to Bonstetten Park.
