This tour leads from Interlaken West railway station via the Rugen hill to Wilderswil, and from here across a wooden bridge ascending to Gsteigwiler, continuing on an unsurfaced road through pretty flower-carpeted meadows alongside the Lütschine towards Zweilütschinen. Turn left where the White and Black Lütschine rivers converge. The path makes its way in a gently winding ascent through the beautiful natural landscape and past flower-adorned wooden chalets to Stalden. Brace yourself for the steepest route section to Burglauenen. When you arrive at the top, take a breather and taste the fresh spring water that gushes from the fountain. After crossing the railway line, follow the forest path towards Schwendi as far as Grindelwald Grund. Ride on through the alder forest on the valley floor to the famous glacier gorge. From here continue left to reach Grindelwald and the railway station.
